FOLLOW THE LEADER

“This song reminds me of what’s going on in politics right now!” is one of the many things I’ve heard after playing this song live. “Follow the Leader” is a song that continues to resonate with people whenever I play it. I love when people tell me how they relate to the song’s lyrics and it’s always a different story. Some songs transcend experiences, gender, politics and belief systems. Isn’t that what music and art is supposed to do? I LOVE that everyone gets a little something different out of this tune.

This song is off of my 2011 EP, On with the Show. “Follow the Leader” also inspired the cover artwork for the EP, which was illustrated by American comics artist, Jim Starlin, who is known for creating Marvel comics characters, Thanos, Drax the Destroyer, among others.
