“Addicted to the Rain”

“Addicted to the Rain” is a song about not wanting to get over the ache of a breakup because somehow, even though it’s painful, the pain makes you feel connected to the person you lost. 

I played it for Biff (record producer) and he agreed it was special. 

My co-writer on the song, Jim Reilley, released a singer/songwriter record independently around the time we wrote this song. It was produced by our friend, hit songwriter, Don Henry. There was a song on the record called “I’ll Be Back Round” that had a similar feel. The track was beautiful and haunting. I told Biff I wanted “Addicted to the Rain” to feel similarly. 

Glenn Worff, Brent Mason, Greg Morrow, John Jarvis, Randy Kohrs, Biff — it was an A list band and they really made this record come alive.
